Winners Images of the Friends of CHaT Parks Photography Competition are being exhibited at Wakefield College's Thornes Campus Refectory.

The Music Collective hosted a Christmas Brass Band Concert in Clarence Park with Barnsley Metropolitian Brass Band entertaining us all.

 

1st December 2009

Tree Planting in the Parks.  Children from the Mount and Methodist school came and helped us and Wakefield Council Plant new trees, for their Grandchildren's Grandchild to enjoy and admire.  Also, because of vandals burning holes in the trees we were able to watch a demonstration on how a tree is cut down, that fascinated us all.

We announced the winners of our Photography Competition at the Wakefield Music Collectives Brass Band Concert, proudly sponsored by the Friends of CHaT Parks.  We had great weather and all thoroughly enjoyed Gawthorpe Brass 85's performance.  Thank you to everyone that came and made it a really special event.

 

We also held a litter pick before and after the band concert.  Thank you very much to everyone that turned up and helped out.

The Friends of Clarence, Holmfield and Thornes Parks took part in the launch of Wakefield’s “Growing For The Future” project in Thornes Park, by holding a Treasure Hunt.
